CRONCH

PRIVACY POLICY

Effective August 15, 2026 · Version 1.0 · 한국어

In one line. Cronch does not send your snack logs, photos, or notes to any server. Everything stays on your device and is deleted with the app. The one exception is Google AdMob advertising, which collects an advertising identifier and similar data for free users.

1. About this policy

NamNamJjeopJjeop Recipe Book ("we", "us") provides the mobile application Cronch (the "App"). This policy explains what the App does and does not do with your information. It applies worldwide.

2. What the App handles

2.1 Personal data we collect — none

We do not collect personal data from users of the App. There is no sign-up, no login, and we operate no server that receives user data.

2.2 Data stored only on your device

The following is created by you inside the App. It is written to your device's local storage and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Background removal runs entirely on your device using the operating system's own image processing. Photos are never uploaded for processing.

2.3 Device permissions

PermissionPurposeRequired?
Camera Take a photo of a snack to save with the log Optional — you can log without a photo
Photo library (read) Choose an existing photo to save with the log Optional
Photo library (write) Save a generated receipt image to your library Optional

Declining a permission disables only that feature; the rest of the App works normally. You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.

3. Advertising — third-party collection

The App shows Google AdMob advertising to users who have not purchased Cronch Pro. Google LLC and its advertising partners may collect and use the following. We do not collect this ourselves and we do not receive it.

We request non-personalized ads only. The App does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use the advertising identifier to track you across other companies' apps or websites. See Google's advertising policies for details. You can reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking in your device settings. Purchasing Cronch Pro removes advertising entirely.

3-1. Usage Analytics — Firebase Analytics

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to improve the service. It collects the following. No name, contact details, or other directly identifying information is included.

This data is processed on Google LLC servers and used only to understand feature usage and improve reliability. See the Firebase Privacy documentation for details. Deleting the app stops further collection immediately.

4. Payment information

In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Card numbers and other payment details are handled by those stores; we never collect, see, or store them. The App records only the fact that a purchase was made.

5. Retention and deletion

6. Sharing and processors

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

PartyPurposeData involved
Google LLC (AdMob) Serving and measuring in-app advertising Advertising identifier, device info, ad interactions
Apple Inc. / Google LLC In-app purchase processing Store-account payment data (we have no access)

7. Your rights

You can view, edit, and delete your records directly inside the App. Because the data lives only on your device, this takes effect immediately with no request process. Deleting the App erases everything. For any other privacy question, contact us using the details in section 11 and we will respond promptly.

7.1 If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom (GDPR)

We are not a controller of any personal data about you, because we receive none. For the advertising data described in section 3, Google acts as an independent controller and its legal basis, retention periods, and transfer safeguards are set out in Google's own policies linked above.

Where any of your data is processed in connection with the App, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In practice, these rights are exercised on your own device: everything the App holds is under your direct control and can be exported or destroyed by you at any time. To exercise any right against Google's advertising processing, use the controls in your device settings or contact Google directly.

7.2 If you are a California resident (CCPA / CPRA)

We do not collect personal information, so we have none to disclose, correct, or delete on request. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising — the App requests non-personalized ads only, as described in section 3. There is therefore no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism to provide. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will act on it. In the Republic of Korea, the equivalent threshold is 14 years of age.

9. Security

The App is built so that user data never leaves the device. Data is stored inside the operating system's application sandbox and is protected by device-level measures such as passcode lock and full-disk encryption.

10. International transfers

Because we do not receive your data, we do not transfer it anywhere. Any international transfer relating to advertising is carried out by Google under its own safeguards.

11. Contact

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the change and its effective date in the App or on this page. Changes that are unfavorable to users are announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
